Konny Nakamura is the president and owner of UGC. In 1988, she began her entrepreneurial journey with Herko International, a trading company that served Latin American countries by providing OEM components to the automotive industry. Over time, the idea of UGC evolved, as a direct result of managing Herko’s logistics initiatives.
In 1990, Nakamura made the decision to transition her focus to the development of UGC and ensuring that all types of clients had access to top-notch logistics services. Today, UGC continues to serve customers that have been around for over the past 3 decades.
Nakamura is proud of how far UGC has come and looks forward to seeing how her venture grows in years to come. Her passion for the cargo industry along with her ability to think out-of-the-box is sure to continue to steer UGC toward unparalleled success.
